My name is Militza.
I’m a Bulgarian student at Boston University. I started this blog just so that I have a place to throw out some thoughts and tales about Bulgaria, the US, and everything in-between. Let’s see how it goes from here!
I hope you enjoy reading!

Hello from Western Massachusetts!
I happened upon your blog, and enjoyed your entries about Bulgarian folklore.
In late February I launched a blog with a Balkan/Bulgarian folklore theme, with a dash of humor and satire. Although I’m not Bulgarian, I’ve had a fascination with the country , and have done folk dances from Bulgaria. I am very involved in the study of folklore, and have done some traveling in Europe.
I took up Balkan dance when I lived in New York City, it has become my passion!
It’s nice to know that there are other people out there who write about folklore. I thought I was the only one….
I will be checking out your blog periodically. Hope you enjoy mine!
Regards,
Katley

I think you’re doing something really great with this blog, Zikata! By the way, do you take the photos included in your articles (especially the one with Maria and the watermelons?)

Thank you! I’m glad you like it!
I take many of the pictures in my blog, but I’ve also taken some from the Internet. Maria with the watermelons, thanks god (or “unfortunately”, whichever you prefer), I took from the net

Very interesting blog! As a former American who is posting about experiences living in Bulgaria, it was fascinating to read your experiences as a Bulgarian living in America. I prefer yoghurt and muesli for breakfast as well!
